International Aguardiente Day 2026 Brings the Guaro Community Together

Aguardiente Day 2027

The excitement of the FIFA World Cup may have come to an end, but the spirit of celebration continues. While Colombia may not have lifted the trophy this year, one thing remains unchanged: the pride Colombians feel for their culture, their traditions, and their national spirit. That is why International Aguardiente Day 2026, celebrated every July 12, is more than another date on the calendar. It is a day to honor Colombia’s most iconic spirit while celebrating every producer, every bartender, every enthusiast, and every person who has helped keep the tradition of guaro alive. Whether you call it aguardiente or guaro, this celebration belongs to everyone. What Is International Aguardiente Day 2026? International Aguardiente Day was created to give Colombia’s national spirit the global recognition it deserves. Celebrated annually on July 12, just before Colombia’s Independence Day, it invites people around the world to discover the history, culture, and craftsmanship behind aguardiente. More importantly, the day celebrates connection. Like great food, music, and soccer, guaro has always brought people together. It creates conversations, strengthens friendships, and turns ordinary gatherings into lasting memories. Today, that tradition extends far beyond Colombia. A Celebration for Every Aguardiente Brand Although Bacan proudly helped establish International Aguardiente Day, this celebration has never been about a single brand. It was created to celebrate an entire category and everyone who believes in its future. Every aguardiente producer contributes to the rich history of Colombia’s national spirit. Traditional brands preserve generations of heritage, while newer producers introduce fresh ideas and modern approaches. Together, they help more people discover guaro around the world. International Aguardiente Day reminds us that a stronger category benefits everyone. From Colombia to the World For decades, aguardiente remained one of Latin America’s best-kept secrets. Today, that is changing. Consumers around the world are looking for authentic spirits with real stories, cultural roots, and distinctive flavors. As tequila, mezcal, and cachaça have shown, regional spirits can become global icons while staying true to their heritage. Aguardiente is following that path. Bars, restaurants, mixologists, and spirit lovers are discovering how versatile guaro can be—whether enjoyed neat, over ice, or in creative cocktails. Each new introduction helps expand the category while honoring its Colombian roots. Why Bacan Celebrates the Entire Category At Bacan, we believe that growing the aguardiente category requires collaboration. Every new consumer who discovers guaro helps strengthen awareness of Colombia’s national spirit. Every bartender who creates a new cocktail, every restaurant that adds aguardiente to its menu, and every distributor who introduces the category to a new market contributes to its future. That is why Bacan proudly celebrates International Aguardiente Day alongside every producer and every fan of guaro. The goal has always been bigger than one bottle. The goal is to give aguardiente the international recognition it deserves. How to Celebrate International Aguardiente Day 2026 There is no single way to celebrate International Aguardiente Day. What matters most is sharing the experience with others. Here are a few ideas: Whether you’re Colombian or simply curious about one of Latin America’s most authentic spirits, July 12 is the perfect day to raise a glass. A Toast to the Future of Guaro International Aguardiente Day is more than a celebration of a spirit. It is a celebration of Colombian culture, craftsmanship, and community. As more people discover aguardiente around the world, the category continues to grow stronger. Every new fan, every new cocktail, and every new toast helps write the next chapter in its story. This July 12, Bacan invites you to celebrate alongside the entire aguardiente community. Because the future of guaro belongs to all of us. Raise a glass. Celebrate responsibly. Happy International Aguardiente Day 2026.

Bacan at BCB Brooklyn 2026: An Immersive Colombian Experience

BCB Brooklyn 2026

Bar Convent Brooklyn is one of the world’s leading events for the spirits industry. At Bacan at BCB Brooklyn 2026, the brand offered much more than a traditional tasting. Visitors explored Colombia through aromas, organic ingredients, signature cocktails, and storytelling. Every stop showed how a premium Colombian aguardiente can connect people with culture, quality, and innovation. Bacan at BCB Brooklyn 2026 Began at the Source Instead of inviting guests to sample cocktails immediately, Bacan introduced them to the origin of every bottle. The journey started with a tasting of 100% organic sugarcane juice. It introduced visitors to the ingredient that gives Bacan its unique character. Many sugarcane spirits begin with molasses. Bacan, however, uses fresh organic sugarcane juice. This choice preserves the purity, freshness, and natural flavor of the spirit. As a result, visitors gained a deeper appreciation for the craftsmanship behind every bottle before taking their first sip of Bacán. Discovering Colombia Through Aroma One of the highlights of Bacan at BCB Brooklyn 2026 was the brand’s custom aroma station, developed in collaboration with a Colombian flavor specialist. Guests explored five aromatic accords that represented Bacan’s production journey: Brand ambassadors guided visitors through each aroma using scent strips while explaining how every ingredient contributes to Bacán’s clean and refined profile. How Bacan Brought Colombia to Life at BCB Brooklyn 2026 The sensory journey continued with a spectacular 10-foot LED screen behind the bar. The one-minute film transported visitors across Colombia’s breathtaking landscapes. Images of endless sugarcane fields, majestic jaguars, emeralds, orchids, and lush tropical scenery reflected the country’s natural richness while telling Bacan’s production story. The visual experience also introduced Bacan’s signature cocktails and reinforced the brand’s commitment to celebrating Colombian heritage through a modern, premium spirit. Together, the storytelling, visuals, and atmosphere transformed the Bacan booth into one of the show’s most memorable destinations. Signature Cocktails That Captured Every Guest After completing the immersive experience, guests finally arrived at the tasting bar. Visitors enjoyed Bacan neat, as a traditional shot, or through two signature cocktails created to showcase the spirit’s versatility. The Colombian Espresso celebrated two of Colombia’s greatest treasures: premium Colombian coffee and Bacan Guaro. Finished with a Colombian flag garnish, it quickly became one of the most photographed cocktails during the event. Meanwhile, the Spicy Watermelon surprised visitors with its fresh and contemporary profile. The cocktail paired Bacan with fresh watermelon, an ingredient still uncommon in many classic cocktail menus. The result was refreshing, modern, and easy to enjoy. Bartenders, buyers, and consumers all responded enthusiastically. Together, both cocktails demonstrated that premium Colombian aguardiente belongs behind the world’s best cocktail bars. Building New Relationships Across the Industry Beyond the tasting experience, Bacan at BCB Brooklyn 2026 created valuable connections throughout the beverage industry. Visitors received exclusive Bacan insulated cooler bags that quickly became one of the event’s favorite giveaways. At the same time, distributors, bartenders, buyers, media representatives, and hospitality professionals visited the booth to learn more about the brand. During the first day of the exhibition, Bacan received a special industry recognition that reflected the impact of its innovative approach to experiential marketing, education, and storytelling. Why Bacan at BCB Brooklyn 2026 Stood Out The spirits industry continues to evolve, and today’s consumers expect more than exceptional products. They want authenticity, memorable experiences, and meaningful stories. Bacan embraced that philosophy throughout BCB Brooklyn 2026. Instead of focusing only on tastings, the brand invited visitors to understand where Bacan comes from, how it is crafted, and why Colombia inspires every bottle. Every detail—from the aroma station and immersive video to the cocktails and educational conversations—reinforced Bacan’s commitment to premium quality and Colombian heritage. An Experience That Lives Beyond Brooklyn Bacan at BCB Brooklyn 2026 proved that a premium spirit can create lasting memories long after the final cocktail is served. Because Bacan isn’t simply introducing a new spirit. It is introducing the world to Colombia—one unforgettable sip at a time.

Bacan Guaro Cocktail Experience: A Day in Miami That Will Blow Your Mind

Cocktail Experience

Have you ever tasted a Bacan guaro cocktail? If not, you’re missing one of the most exciting spirits on the Miami scene. Last Saturday, we turned that curiosity into a full-blown adventure. First, a Mediterranean welcome ritual. Then, a cocktail experience with a class on a yacht. And finally, the perfect sundowner on the Miami River. Here’s how it all went down. Where It All Started: Habibi Miami’s Aladdin Welcome Drink The day began at Habibi, a Mediterranean restaurant in Miami. Among the guests was food and beverage journalist Brian Freedman. First, the welcome drink set the tone immediately. The cocktail blended fresh grapefruit, maraschino liqueur, sparkling wine, and Bacan guaro, with a rosemary essence on top. But the presentation was just as bold as the flavors. An Aladdin’s lamp released a rosemary-scented smoke into the drink. Then, the staff rubbed a grapefruit peel on each guest’s palms, releasing the citrus oils onto the skin. Finally, the lamp passed from hand to hand, so everyone caught the rosemary aroma up close. Cocktail Experience with Bacan Aboard the Kiki at Sea Yacht Next, the group boarded the Kiki at Sea yacht for a hands-on cocktail masterclass. Three cocktails. Three flavor profiles. One unforgettable afternoon on the water. 1. Guaro Lychee To start, the class made a Guaro Lychee. Bacan guaro meets lychee in a floral, tropical highball. The lychee softens guaro’s anise edge beautifully. Light, fragrant, and refreshing — it set the bar high from the very first sip. 2. Spicy Guaromelon After that, things got more exciting. The Spicy Guaromelon combined Bacan guaro, fresh watermelon, and a punch of heat. Sweet and cool upfront, then spicy on the finish. As a result, it quickly became the crowd favorite of the class. 3. Colombian Espresso Finally, the class closed with pure Colombian pride. The Colombian Espresso brought Bacan guaro together with bold espresso — two of Colombia’s greatest exports in a single glass. Rich, smooth, and deeply satisfying. Cocktail and Food Pairing: Habibi’s Chef Joins the Yacht What truly elevated the experience was the addition of Habibi’s executive chef on board. Rather than a simple snack spread, the chef designed a full course-by-course pairing alongside each cocktail. In short, the pairing proved a key point: Bacan guaro is not just a party spirit. In the right hands, it works as a serious culinary ingredient with impressive range. The Perfect Ending: Lychee Martini at Kiki on the River After docking, the group moved on to Kiki on the River to close out the day. The open-air Grecian setting and Miami River views made it the ideal spot to wind down. Moreover, the drink of choice brought things full circle: a Lychee Martini with Bacan, echoing the floral notes from the very first cocktail of the morning. Great food, exceptional cocktails, and a spirit that ties it all together. That’s what a Bacan guaro cocktail experience looks like in Miami — and it’s hard to imagine a better way to spend a Saturday. Why Bacan Guaro Deserves a Spot in Your Glass After a full day of tasting, making, and pairing cocktails, a few things stood out clearly: In conclusion, whether you’re a cocktail professional, a curious traveler, or simply someone who loves a great drink with a great story, Bacan guaro belongs on your radar. Try it once and you’ll understand why Miami is paying attention. How to Taste Aguardiente Like a Connoisseur with Bacan

How To Taste Aguardiente

For many people, aguardiente is synonymous with music, celebration, and tradition. It’s a drink that accompanies gatherings, memories, and culture. But beyond its festive reputation, aguardiente has a depth that few take the time to explore. Like any premium spirit, it offers aromas, flavors, textures, and sensations that deserve to be appreciated — not rushed. If you’ve ever wondered how to taste aguardiente with intention and sophistication, this guide will show you exactly how. And there’s no better example than Bacan, a premium Colombian aguardiente crafted from organic ingredients and celebrated worldwide for its purity, elegance, and character. Whether you’re a long-time aguardiente lover or someone discovering the category for the first time, this step-by-step tasting ritual will elevate your experience. Aguardiente: More Than a Celebration Drink Aguardiente has long been at the heart of Colombia’s identity. Yet, despite its cultural importance, many people simply drink it without experiencing it. True tasting — degustación — invites you to appreciate the spirit behind the spirit:the craftsmanship, the ingredients, the aromas, and the sensory story in every sip. This is especially important with a premium product like Bacan, made fromfirst-pressed organic sugarcane, Spanish star anise, and purified water, with no added sugars, colors, or artificial flavors. Its clean profile and artisanal production make it ideal for a more refined tasting approach. In short: Bacan isn’t meant to be rushed. It’s meant to be enjoyed. How to Taste Aguardiente Like a Connoisseur: Step-by-Step Guide Here’s the complete ritual — simple, sensory, and memorable. 1. Observe the Look: Purity Speaks First Every great tasting begins with the eyes. Pour a small amount of Bacan into a clear glass — ideally a tulip glass or small snifter.Hold it against the light and notice: Bacan’s purity is the result of its organic ingredients and meticulous distillation process.A clear, clean aguardiente signals high quality and careful craftsmanship. 2. Smell the Aromas: Let the Spirit Open Up Aguardiente aromas tell the first part of the story. Gently swirl the glass to release the botanicals. Then bring it to your nose and inhale lightly.Keep your mouth slightly open — this reduces alcohol shock and helps aromatics flow. With Bacan, you’ll likely notice: This moment prepares your palate for what’s next. 3. Taste the First Sip: Let It Speak Take a small sip and allow it to coat your tongue. Don’t rush. Let it rest, breathe, and reveal itself.Pay attention to: Because Bacan is crafted with only three natural ingredients and no additives, the flavor profile feels clean, balanced, and authentic. This is the moment when you start to understand the difference between simply drinking and truly tasting. 4. Evaluate the Mid-Palate: Where Complexity Lives After the first sip, take another — this one deeper and more intentional. Here is where aguardiente shows its personality: With Bacan, the mid-palate unfolds gradually. The organic sugarcane provides a natural softness, while the botanical notes bring depth and structure. 5. Notice the Finish: The Final Impression A great spirit leaves a lasting memory. As you swallow, pay attention to the finish: Bacan offers an elegant, warm finish with a clean aftertaste — a direct result of its purity and five-time distillation process. It leaves the palate refreshed, not overwhelmed. Bacan Elevates the Art of Tasting Aguardiente Learning how to taste aguardiente turns a simple drink into a refined sensory ritual. It allows you to recognize the purity of organic ingredients, the finesse of artisanal production, and the cultural heritage behind Colombia’s most iconic spirit. With its clean profile, natural aromas, and award-winning quality, Bacan stands as the perfect example of what a premium Colombian aguardiente can be.
